Drachen 2006

This is a drawing of my character, Drachenous Omaridia ("Drachen" for short), that I used to draw ALL THE TIME when I was younger. I was in the process of writing a story about him, but then that stopped short But still, Drachen was one of the first characters I really ever put development time into.

I was digging through my old art folders some time ago and found this sketch. I decided it had been quite a while since I have drawn Drachen, so I decided to re-do this drawing - (See original version here) I really had fun drawing this character again I reworked the pose and design a bit, but still tried to keep it similar. It's fun to redraw old pictures and see how your style has progressed!

Overall, I like the picture. Unfortunetely, I noticed a bit too late that his back arm is a bit too long... DOH! XD Oh well, if I ever color it, I'll fix it. We'll see ^^ I am happy with the feet, however. I really wanted to get rid of the "Gargoyle feet." Not that I didn't like them, but I have been trying to remove some of the more Disney/Anime elements from my style
